The pieces that constitute the Museum's museological collection suffer
constant inspection by technicians, for evaluation and the needs for
eventual restoration. Exhibition Halls have their basic conditions
permanently monitorated, specially temperature and humidity of the rooms
and inside of vitrines.
Collections not displayed are kept in Storage Rooms that are considered
exemplary in Brazil, with special installations and serving as model for
other institutions of the country.
Conservation and restorations services are made in the Conservation and
Restoration Laboratory, with technicians graduated in several specialities
in Brazil and abroad.
