The "Casa do Trem" (Ammunition Depot), an independent block from the rest
of the Museum, was restored and adapted. The access is made through the
Minerva Patio and the Hall of Chests.
Integrated to the architectural complex, it is part of the Museum's
exhibition circuit and will display soon the numismatic collection
permanent exhibition.
The National Historical Museum, with the sponsorship of the German
Government, the Ministry of Culture and the Banco de Desenvolvimento
Econômico e Social/BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social
Development).
