This exhibition at the Canada Gallery, part of the permanent circuit,
congregates paintings and objects ordered by the Government to register the
most important events of the country's history.
Between the documental paintings, it is possible to point out "Assembly of
the State's Council", by Georgina de Albuquerque, the "Consecration of D.
Pedro II", by Manuel de Araujo Porto Alegre and the "The Ball at Fiscal
Island", by Aurélio de Figueiredo e Melo, the last one restored by the
Conservation and Restoration Laboratory. |
