In this exhibition, a plunging in the every day life of the upper class in
the 19th century, a time when basins, pitchers and chamber pots were parts
of personal hygiene; fans were subtitutes for modern ventilators; hat boxes
and portable box for folding tableware were obligatory travelling articles;
binoculars were seen in theaters, bridal bouquets holders and magnificent
smoking and snuffboxes in the saloons… |
